Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Training (AHA Certification)

The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training course, based on the standards set by the American Heart Association (AHA), was conducted on August 27–28, 2024. This training session was held for doctors and Registered nurses from MedPark Hospital, Chaophya Hospital, and The Art Clinic. The training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding and skills in assessing and diagnosing cardiac arrest and abnormal heart rhythms, as well as in using resuscitation equipment and related medications accurately and effectively. Additionally, the course focused on refining skills in basic and advanced life support according to established guidelines.

The training also sought to improve communication skills and teamwork in advanced resuscitation through blended learning approaches, including online learning, theoretical instruction, and practical exercises in simulated scenarios.

The training was honored by the presence of several distinguished instructors, including: Captain (Navy) Dr. Jariya Santatianant, an anesthesiologist and Assistant Director of Somdet Phra Pinklao Hospital, Royal Thai Navy Medical Department, who served as the Director of the course. Dr. Dhanadol Rojanasarntikul, an emergency medicine physician from the Emergency Medicine Department, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society. Assistant Professor (Special) Dr. Prok Laosuwan, an anesthesiologist from the Department of Anesthesiology, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Thai Red Cross Society. Colonel Dr. Panithan Kwangwaropas, an emergency medicine physician and Head of the Military Medical Simulation Center, Phramongkutklao College of Medicine. Assistant Professor Dr. Chaiwut Sawawiboon, a pulmonologist and critical care medicine specialist from MedPark Hospital. Dr. Wipra Worasawate, an anesthesiologist from MedPark Hospital.

The training provided participants with hands-on experience in assessing, diagnosing, and managing cardiac arrest and abnormal heart rhythms, along with the proper use of resuscitation tools and medications. It also emphasized enhancing communication and teamwork skills in accordance with international standards.
